ACME SMOKED FISH
As the internal senior designer, I led projects from concept through to print production and distribution. I contributed creatively across all phases, managing versioning for over 20 SKUs, developing type styles, organizing assets, and preparing all design elements for print. I collaborated closely with both domestic and international printers and was hands-on throughout, from art directing photoshoots to finalizing packaging details like UPCs and Nutrition Facts panels. Completed in collaboration with CBA Design and Soulsight.
Some of my creative sketches for Hot Smoked Salmon portions. The goal was to cut costs and better compete with new tinned fish brands.
MERCH
I was inspired to recreate an Acme factory worker’s sweatshirt from the 1980s so it could be sold as a limited-edition piece of merchandise at Acme’s weekly retail operation. I designed an email and social media campaign to promote and the sweatshirts sold out within two days.
Designed for Bagelfest 2023, this graphic puts a twist on the classic "MOM" tattoo, swapping the heart for smoked salmon and the banner for love of lox. It became a T-shirt, sweatshirt, and socks as well and lives on as part of Acme Smoked Fish’s brand
TRADESHOW BOOTH
From initial art direction through to mechanical files and installation, I designed Acme’s 2021 and 2022 Seafood Industry trade show booths. The design incorporated photographs of the bricks from Acme’s Brooklyn facility, and used the Fish Friday “Butcher Paper”, recreated to scale.
What is nova?
A mini documentary video I produced and researched, in collaboration with video production intern Et,han Halperin, explaining the history and meaning of term 'Nova' in lox or smoked salmon.
